Department:
Culinary Arts
Instructor:
N. Lasher (a.k.a. Kthulah)
Instructor Email:
kthulah@kthulah.com
Goals:
To further the kitchen skills
of good food enthusiasts, and add some variety and fun.
Requirements:
If you have never cooked before,
or have some discomfort in the kitchen, you may want to take Cooking
Basics, another great class on UniversalClass first.
Reading Materials:
All required reading assignments
are available free on the internet, or can be found in the shared files.
They are provided as supplements. All recipes published in the class,
however, are either public domain or the inventions or deductions of the
instructor, Nicole Lasher, or family members who have given permission
for them to be published, and for financial compensation to be received
through her.
Recommended Equipment:
-
A fully stocked kitchen. What this means
exactly will vary by region, but each lesson tells you what you'll need,
and what can be substituted for what.
-
(optional) digital camera or conventional
camera and scanner
-
(optional) image editing software that will
allow you to resize photos to no more than 700x700 pixels
-
(optional) paper and a marker with which one
can credit photos of their assignments.
-
If you do not have a camera or a webcam, then
I have no way of checking that you did a cooking assignment, so you will
need to be more descriptive in the written parts of the assignments.

Each lesson has an assignment and a quiz,
